“Jude wasn’t just my first love. He was my forever love.“ Woohoo! Our lovable uber-protective badboy, Jude, is back! I really liked this book, I had some issues with it, but overall, I was very happy with it. This book had great dialogue, swoony moment, heart breaking moments, a totally badass chick fight, a heart sick badboy, some big issues to work though and of course a happy ending This book starts up after the ending of Crash (book #1) with Jude and Lucy attending college. This book had great dialogue, swoony moment, heart breaking moments, a totally badass chick fight, a heart sick badboy, some big issues to work though and of course a happy ending This book starts up after the ending of Crash (book #1) with Jude and Lucy attending college. Jude being the superstar football player has been assigned a “Spirit Sister” Adriane (aka sheb*tchfromhell) who wants nothing more than to steal Jude away for her very own at any and all costs. Eeeeepp!! This consequently (and understandably) made Lucy feel more and more insecure around her relationship with Jude (considering his man-whoring past) and leads to a lot drama around them learning to trust each other. “You’re all I’ve got, Luce. I’ll do anything not to lose you.” I have to say I HATED Adriane from the moment her name hit the page. I really haven’t hated a character this much in a long while. And I gotta admit, I totally sympathized with Lucy’s insecurities at first – the thought of another girl determined to get Jude just made my blood boil… and its not like Lucy knew she was a character in a book and destined for a HEA lol. In her eyes, she didn’t know what to think and was just working with the facts in front of her… I’m pretty sure it would make me worried too in her shoes. I was really torn with who to side with… I think in the end, they were both equally to blame for the issues, and both equally to commend for fixing things. Overall I actually sympethized with them both. For the first while I sided with Lucy… Despite being utterly devoted to her, Jude did do several things that I don’t think he should have with whole Adriane thing which made me totally get why she was being insecure. Then for a while, I sided with Jude because I felt Lucy went over-the-top with her reactions to the conclusions she drew. But at the same time, she had pretty good reason to come to those conclusions…and poor Jude is there and he’s just so messed up and yet trying so freaking hard to do the right thing but at the same time, and yet some of his actions were just really hypocritical….. hmmm I could go on and on… basically: Holy Emotional Rollercoaster!! “Life isn’t perfect, we sure as shit arent perfect, so why should we expect love to be?“ The book was a fair bit shorter than Crash though so none of the frustrations were too long and drawn out – making them quite bearable. And it helped that by the end, all the issues that came up in the book were completely resolved. And I absolutely loved the ending!! It was really sweet and the author tied it right in beautifully with the beginning of Crash making the story kind of come full circle. I thought that was pretty perfect This book is basically YA but with sex (very subtle descriptions).

That man is the super-duper-looper, Six Flags, knee trembling roller coaster extraordinaire." -India her roomate My fave couple is back Jude and Lucy!!! Doing what they do best in Clash Clash has Lucy and Jude five hours away from eachother attending school in New York. Jude at Syracuse and Lucy at Julliard however the distance is not the issue as of late. The issue is the rah rah, pom pom carrying spirit sister from the cheer squad assigned to Jude. **Growls**Adriana Vix. When Luce hears that Jude has a busty, tight dress wearing bimbo all up in her mans face she let's her jealousy get the best of her. And Jude is not to happy about it. Instead of fiinding her jealousy cute it quickly gets filed under the "you don't trust me" category causing friction between the two. Of course he is unaware that the skank made her intentions crystal clear to Luce. By telling her she indeed plans to have Jude all to herself. I know i know how dare that SKANKY SKANK! Well i actually used more colorful words when i read that part.lol!! And just when you think they can get over one hump another hump manifest itself. Doubt.... From bad to worse and some motherly advice After Luce puts a can of WHOOP ASS on Adriana things take a turn for the worse....Luce caves in she becomes unsure if she wants the relationship to continue. This irked the living daylights out of me. When Luce is unsure what to do and NOT positive that the love her and Jude have is strong enough to be enough for them as a couple. Her mom says "Love is what brings you together, Lucy. But it's the blood sweat and tears of hard work that keeps you together." She then goes into more detail but i don't want to ruin it. This becomes a pivotal moment for Luce and it is also the boost she needs in the right direction. Fave Scene Scene setup: When jealousy consumes Luce and gets the best of her because of all the girls wanting her man Jude sets her straight. Check this out "But you know what makes me say no everytime? You know what makes me impervious to every woman and whatever ploy she throws at me?" He didn't wait for my response. "You, Luce," he said his voice tired. "There may not be a shortage of Adriana's out there, but there's only one you. And that's the person I want to give my self to." *Swoon* And this is why i love him! Fave Line Scene setup: After being injured in a game Luce and Jude get hot and heavy in a hospital bed. When the nurse comes in to check on Jude and to see why his Heart monitor went off then flatlined. She takes in the scene turns off the machine and says "At least you died and went to heaven." Thoughts Oh how i loved this book!**puts hands together and prays for a book 3** While Jude and Luce spent most of the book fighting i did not care i devoured every sentence. Be prepared Luce will put you through the ringer in this book and it was no cake walk. Some of the best parts is when Luce was given great yet totally unexpected advice from two unexpected sources. And it caught me off guard as much as it did her. This was shorter than the first book which is the main reason i did not give this 5 stars. In case your wondering. I also wanted a little more from the epilogue. My Ratings Characters- Lovable Writing Style- Good Plot/Storyline- Good Steam Factor- Medium/Moderatley Steamy Overall- I loved it!!!! Now go forth and read. Then come tell us all about it on Goodreads!

I realise I’m going to be in the minority with this one, but this book just didn’t work for me. I was so excited when I knew we were getting another chance to read about Jude and Lucy. After all they went through in Crash, I was excited to actually see them put the past behind them and be in a relationship... or so I thought! “It feels like sometimes I’m just waiting for the bottom to fall out beneath us. You know?” I felt guilty for admitting it, but I was a realist, and couples like Jude and me I realise I’m going to be in the minority with this one, but this book just didn’t work for me. You know?” I felt guilty for admitting it, but I was a realist, and couples like Jude and me had the odds more stacked not in our favour than in it. “I know baby,” he said. “I know. When it does though, we’ll just grab a rope and wait it out.” Good advice Lucy!! Wish you would have listened to him!!!! Lucy just drove me batshit crazy though most of this book. Seriously, I just wanted to bitchslap her into next week! Yes, there’s a bitch-character introduced who messes with their relationship, but Lucy was so quick to judge Jude and I’m annoyed that she didn’t trust him or what she had with him. Her roommate said it best - "If you say you’re going to trust your man, then trust your man. Don’t revoke that privilege when he needs it most." But again, she didn't listen. She let the doubt in, and it almost destroyed her, and what she had with Jude. Jude never gave Lucy any excuse not to have faith in him. But even when that issue was resolved, she still didn’t stop being a whiny drama queen because ‘it’s all too hard’ and she’s scared of the future. And because of this, she put Jude through hell, and my heart just broke for him. I still don’t fully understand her motivation. (view spoiler)[She’d tell him to back off and that she needed space, and then she’d suddenly be there telling him she loved him and missed him, only to back off again. (hide spoiler)] I was so incredibly pissed off with her that at one point I had to stop reading and go and clean my house in order to calm down and prevent myself from smashing my kindle against the wall. On the positive side - Jude was utter perfection as always. Fiercely over-protective of his girl and openly demonstrative of his love for her, he was absolutely swoony! (and reminded me a lot of Travis from Beautiful Disaster *sigh*). His actions, and the way he treated Lucy were amazing. He put up with a lot, being incredibly supportive, he was always there for her, waiting for her to sort through whatever it was she was dealing with. (view spoiler)[The note he left for her, knowing that she would just take off and leave him absolutely broke my heart! I just wanted you to know I’d be chasing after you right now, naked if need required it. But because I’m respecting your need for time and space, I’ll force myself to lie here in bed and pretend I’m asleep. And then when Lucy walked away from him (again!) after they were finally together - that was nicely written by the way - and didn’t even talk to him (again!) even after he chased her down and pleaded with her to stay, that just sent me right off into a rage. (hide spoiler)] But then… after everything that they go through together, and everything that Jude tried to tell her, and all of the signs pointing forwards that Lucy just kept ignoring, all it took was a heart to heart with her Mom and a theoretical smack with the obvious stick for her to finally pull herself together. “Love isn’t only love, sweetheart. It’s hard work, and trust, and tears, with even a few glimpses of devastation. But at the end of each day, if you can still look at the person at your side and can’t imagine anyone else you’d rather have there, the pain and heartache and the ups and downs of love are worth it.” Nicely said Mom! AND ABOUT FREAKING TIME!!!! The other issue I had with this book was the same I had with the first – the OTT moments which sprang up. Some of these moments I felt the author could get away with (the ‘first touchdown’ thing was gorgeous and made me squee), but others just didn’t work for me. Particularly the ending. While I was pleased that that there was a HEA, and I confess I did grin at one point while reading it, mostly I was just rolling my eyes at the excessiveness of it all. It felt to me like the author was just trying to create a Hollywood ending. And then the book just stopped. After all of the crap that Jude and Lucy go through, they get their HEA and it just ends. There is an epilogue, but it’s really brief. And we don’t get to see them being together with all of the issues behind them, and that also fell flat for me. So, yeah. Overall I was disappointed with this. It had such a great start, with Jude and Lucy happy together, but Lucy’s insecurity and then total stupidity during the entire second half of the book just brought the whole thing down for me I’m afraid. 2.5 stars – I’m only rounding up because Jude is so freaking gorgeous! ** Huge thanks to my GR buddies who allowed me to rant and swear myself ragged while I read this – much appreciated ;) **

Hmmm... I'll admit that the first book took me by surprise, it was really nice despite some editorial mistakes which were editorial so I tried not to be judgemental. This one had some, too.. But that's not why I gave this 2 stars.. What made me give this 2 stars is mainly the fact that the storyline in this one was not as thick as it was in the first one. The first had a little bit of originality while this one followed around to the footsteps of the most common ya contemporary romances and that let me down. This could have easily served as a long-stretched novella but it qualifies as a full novel instead. I'll say again that I liked the book, just expected more out of it other than some poor-ass plot and an unsatisfying ending. PS: I still find the characters charming as hell.

But really, after book one, I expected nothing less than AMAZING… and I got it! The Review: Clash is the second book in the Crash series. Book one, Crash, was a force to be reckoned with! I loved it. This book was just as amazing and filled with just as many angst’s and exciting hurdles to climb. Lucy and Jude, who overcame major obstacles in book one throughout their last year of high school, are now in college. And though their colleges are only five hours from each other, the distance and time apart along with misunderstandings, miscommunications, doubt, fear and a sinister Spirit Sister threaten to come between them permanently. Lucy does a lot of soul searching in this book. She sees the difficult road ahead of them and wonders if it’s a path she wants to travel down. Between their tragic past, their torrent present and their undecided future, Lucy and Jude have to find out if trust and love really is enough to concur all. There were some highly emotional moments in this book along with a good dose of fun, playful banter and lots of swoon worthy Jude moments. That boy MAN, is a total dream! Who wouldn’t want someone who could plow through a herd of line backers just to claim you as his but then quietly give you a rose just to prove he’s thought about you that day. Wowzerz! Raging, uncontrollable temper or not, sign me up for an all night Jude-a-thon because that man is smokin’! As for Lucy… *shakes head* That girl can throw down with the best of them! Can we say cat fight!!! me-ouch! But, as much as I like her character, I have to admit that Lucy took my insides and squished them under her pointes, along with Jude’s heart. I didn’t see much character growth with her from book one to book two until the end. She was indecisive and the way she constantly pushed Jude away was gut wrenching. This has been a constant theme for her through both books. And really, how many times can she push him away before she “figures her shit out?!?” There was one scene in the airport that eviscerated me! I felt so bad for poor Jude that, I myself, felt a Jude-rage coming on after reading it. The scene was powerful and heartbreaking and left me fuming. But isn’t that what makes a story great? One that has the power to lift you or destroy you with a chapter, paragraph or sentence? Those are the best kinds ;) Oh and the sinister Spirit Sister of doom… needs her pom poms shoved up her gaping sphincter in the worst way! As perfect as Jude is in my book, he did irritate me a time or two with his one sided Hulk-like freak-outs. There was a scene where Lucy tries to prove her claim and he didn’t take it well, but he was fine with throwing down the gauntlet if someone even looked at her with more than a passing interest. I wish he had nipped that Vix Bitch in the bud to begin with and not let her crazy “just-look-at-me-I’m-so-hot-how-can-he-not-want-me” crap get in the way of his and Lucy’s relationship. Read the book, you’ll see what I mean! The Wrap Up: I LOVED this book as much as I loved the first one. The writing was wonderful, the story was gripping and it kept me coming back again and again to devour it. Lucy and Jude’s relationship isn’t perfect, but this book proves that you can have a turbulent storm raging around you and survive it as long as you have trust and love with a solid foundation… and a rope to hold onto… when it tries to fall out from under you. NOTE:: Read this as a buddy read with Juls! Three chapters a day just wan't enough Jude was it?!? Thanks girl, that was a blast. Whats next? ;) *Listening to - [Vocal DubStep] Black Diamond Bay -- I Dreamt We Were Bank Robbers (Planas Remix)*

Hmmm, where to start. I have mixed feelings about this book, because, I did love it and was completely rooting for Jude and Lucy, but parts of it drove me up the wall! Clash was good, but not as good. Where, in Crash, I loved Lucy and her sassy attitude. I loved that the characters had real how-will-they-ever-get-through-this issues to contend with and still managed to battle against the odds and convince the reader that the decisions they made were the right ones, even when you thought there was no possible way over the mountainous obstacles in their way... I didn't feel like that with Clash. Lucy turned into quite a frustrating, insecure character, which I hadn't felt at all in the first book. In Crash I got why she felt she couldn't possibly be with Jude, and then I got when she worked through those problems. In Clash I felt like she was just creating problems, not listening to Jude, etc. and it irritated me. “He made me happy. He made me crazy. He made me thank the heavens for the day I'd met him. He made me curse the same heavens for the day I'd met him.” All that said and done, I did enjoy the book and I couldn't put it down, so, don't get me wrong, it certainly wasn't all bad! Once again, Jude was to die for. My heart broke for him so many times. He was so alone and so desperate for love throughout this book, and alone at Christmas, that's a heart breaker right there! “I just wanted you to know I'd be chasing after you right now, naked if need required it. But because I'm respecting your need for time and space, I'll force myself to lie here in bed and pretend I'm asleep.” Oh and the airport scene virtually tore me up! This was one instance when I felt Lucy needed a good fist to the face. Thank Christ they finally got down to doing the dirty because if we'd gotten to the end of this book and they'd still not sorted that shit out, I'd have thrown the towel in there and then, lol. This book isn't really steamy, although there is a scene in a moving car, which Jude happens to be driving (yeh, work that one out) which is pretty saucy, but I guess that's why it's a YA read. I'm sceptical about the next book because the deceleration of love and commitment and the end of Clash was so romantic and convincing, I'll be gutted if the author drives them apart in the next book... but nevertheless, I will be reading it! Looking forward to my next dose of Jude and Lucy! “Ease my suffering. Make me the happiest, most tortured man in the world.” Oh okay Jude, if I must!

My reaction to this one is the same as the first one, it wasn't horrible, but it wasn't the best. It was the same exact thing, except now instead of being in high school, they're in college. Dancing is barely mentioned, again, in this novel. Lucy dances about twice in the novel, and the rest is just her fighting about leaving or staying with Jude. Hell, Jude playing football is mentioned more than her dancing. I really don't understand why the author claims Lucy to be a good girl who loves dancing with all her heart, when you can clearly see her character is pretty much opposite. Jude has changed, but relatively he's the same. He's toned down his anger, and is trying more on the "think before you act" approach. He's trying. That was one good point. Lucy, on the other hand, was the same doubtful immature girl who would say one thing and do another. After a certain event that involved the "spirit sister on the cheer squad who's attached herself to Jude in just about every way a girl could", she's pissed off. With good reason, really. But Jude tells her to trust him, to believe him. He's on his knees begging for fucks sake. She doesn't, of course. She went through book one doubting and not trusting him, planting the blame on him, and she's done it again this time. She has no trust in him whatsoever. She'll love him, then leave him. I honestly disliked her character a lot in the book. It was just really immature of her to act the way she did. Another thing that bothered me was the actually possibility of there being another plot besides their love problem, and it not happening. There really was no resolution to the whole "My dad shot your brother" deal, and it was approached in this book, but it just dropped dead. This book is nothing but their love trials, and although that's good for some, the events that's happened in their pasts could have made an actual story line, and something to look forward to. But no, all we get is a girl who runs away from everything, believing everyone else to be at fault, and a guy who's practically miserable the majority of the book. There were minor characters in the book, and besides Thomas (who only got about 5 lines in this book but still seemed to be the most sane of them all), they were all depicted as sexy-driven maniacs. Characters that had potential, again, were shot down because of the incessant noting that they 1) Love beer 2) Love sex 3) Party like there's no tomorrow & 4) Slut it up everywhere they go. Ugh. I just hate it when books can gain potential and it's just killed.

LOVED this story!!! Jude Ryder is all kinds of sex-on-a-stick and he loves Lucy with such a Travis Maddox-like intensity, it makes him all the more appealing. But when a cunning bitch sets her sights on Jude, will that tenuous thread snap and let trust be damned? Apart from what transpires and how it affects Jude & Lucy's relationship, this exciting segment of drama culminates in a brutal chick fight. Lucy may seem fragile because she is a ballet dancer and is small in stature, but you know what they say... "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned". That scene still has me smiling! Of course the road to an HEA for Jude & Luce is long, rough and scarred. But I've come to trust (almost) completely an indie author will bring her protagonists to the finish line in the most endearingly gratifying & sweetest way possible. Nicole Williams doesn't disappoint. This is mature YA at its best! Jude Ryder

Can't wait to see how Jude and Luce's story continues!!!

I even found myself reading forward and then going back, because I just could't BEAR the heartache any more !! LOL x By chapter 15 I physically wanted to 'PUNCH Luce's lights out' !!! HOW could that girl NOT see they were clearly MEANT TO BE TOGETHER !! Jude was going through the worst heartache and torment.... and she just KEPT dashing his hopes !!! I'd be there for you JUDE xxx BUT then.....The FINAL Chapter..... OH MY !!! All is forgiven Luce !! 'That man made me feel things I never imagined could be felt. He made me want things I wasn't sure I could have. He made me need things I didn't Know existed.' 'We rode this roller coaster. Up,down and around and around' AND soooooo did the readers !!! 'I didn't think I wanted to be a passenger on that ride anymore, so I got off, leaving him to ride it alone' OMG....... Breaking heart !!!! Swooooon x THEN....'I realized I'd never really gotten off that roller coaster, we were just riding in different cars.' 'I'd rather share this crazy journey through life with him by my side.' OH.....Thank GOD Luce..... FINALLY.... Awwwwwww xx ' I LOVE YOU Jude Ryder. I'm done letting that scare me. I'm not going anywhere.' And....don't we ALL just feel the same ??? Siggggghhhhh !!x That was the most incredible, Romantic, heart stopping final chapter EVER.....Thank You Nicole Williams xx BUT.....PLEASE DON'T WRITE ANOTHER ONE ?!!! I SERIOUSLY DON'T THINK MY HEART COULD TAKE ANY MORE..... (unless of course they're going to live happily ever after, making lots of babies, as little Danny said and staring lovingly into each others eyes....FOREVER xxxxx) Incase you didn't realise.... I LIKED this book....REALLY liked it xx Oh....and my favourite bit.....after being injured in a game, Luce and Jude get hot and heavy (FINALLY) in a hospital bed. When the nurse comes in to check on Jude and to see why his Heart monitor went off then flatlined. She takes in the scene turns off the machine and says "At least you died and went to heaven." LOVE IT xx

I'm giving this one 3.5 stars. I really loved the first book, Crash, but had some problems with this one. I thought that the sequel was going to help me come to terms with those feelings. But I can't say I feel any better at the end of this book. Not that it didn't end well.... I don't want to bring up spoilers, but I don't know that I can keep from doing so. So if you don't want to know too much, then don't read this review until after you finish the book. I know that the nature of Jude and Lucy's relationship was tumultuous, to say the least, but I wasn't prepared for the complete and utter idiot, that Lucy was going to become. I know that it cannot be easy for anyone to be in a relationship with someone as popular and good looking as Jude... but the boy is CLEARLY in love with his girl... anyone can see that. And I know he has his issues, how could he not, coming from the background, but clearly he's trying. Beware: Spoilers!! What is Lucy's excuse? Other than the fact that she acts like a complete moron!!!!! I understand her walking out after the Adriana thing, it did look bad after all. But once she knew the truth... honestly, what was her problem. I was almost hoping he would tell her to forget it after a while. And what was that cat fight?!!!! I was not happy with this. Nothing like lowering yourself to such an idiotic level, that your reputation can never be redeemed!!! I just got disgusted at this point. Her indecision was maddening!!!!! He more than earned her trust, if you ask me. I know he still had some issues, but she knew how he felt about her. And her leaving the hospital without saying goodbye.... WHAT WAS THAT!!!!!!! I was just wanted to wring her neck!!!! I had a totally different feeling about the characters in this book. I was more supportive of Lucy in the first book. She seemed more mature, and able to handle the difficulties of their relationship, whereas Jude was all over the place. Now, with this book, it seems that opposite has occurred. Jude seems to be the one with his head on straight, and Lucy just acts like a whiny jealous idiot. I was finally appeased with the ending, but only because by the grace of God, Jude found it in his heart to take her back. (even though I didn't think she deserved it!) I wanted so much to like this book more, but found it left me annoyed each time I put it down. Lucy could have been a much better person, a much better character. I was let down by her immature decisions, and indecisive behavior. I wanted her to be more deserving of the love and loyalty she received from Jude..... When a guy gets down on one knee in front of an entire stadium of people to propose to you, you don't say "WHY NOT!!!!!" Bad answer. Ok.. I'm done ranting now. Who knows maybe I'll like it better after I get over my initial reaction. :) I may even bump it up to 4 stars because I loved Jude so much!!!

3.5 Stars I read this book non-stop over a couple of hours unable to put it down, but not because I was loving it, but because I couldn't believe how much a character could annoy me. Lucy drove me nuts in this book. Thankfully, it didn't stop me from needing to know what was going to happen. Jude stole my heart in the first book and he didn't let it go at all in this one. I find myself confused about my feelings for this series, but I will be reading the next book, just because I have to know what 3.5 Stars I read this book non-stop over a couple of hours unable to put it down, but not because I was loving it, but because I couldn't believe how much a character could annoy me. **5 "Jucy" Stars!!** I can't explain how much I loved this book. Jude is trying everything he can to do right by Lucy. He's tamed his temper, changed his "no dates, no girlfriend" rule, but jealousy is still rearing her ugly head. In this case, that would be Lucy. Although, it doesn't help with Adriana Vix in the picture. She's the definition of man-eater. She knows where to put her claws in a man to bring him to his knees; Guys salivate over her and come flocking when she bellows. A stunning sequel to Crash and an even more emotional journey for our beloved characters, Lucy and Jude, two young people carrying a lifetime of hurt on their shoulders. This story explores what happens after their apparent ‘happily-ever-after’, whether love is enough to erase the stains of the past and which things in life are truly worth fighting for. Lucy and Jude are back together. Their bond is stronger than ever and they are inseparable. They are in college now but in cities hours apart. Ho A stunning sequel to Crash and an even more emotional journey for our beloved characters, Lucy and Jude, two young people carrying a lifetime of hurt on their shoulders. However, that does not stop them from spending every free moment with each other. Lucy is studying to be a dancer while Jude is his college’s football star with a following worthy of a champion. Their devotion to each other is unquestionable but their relationship is also an unstoppable roller coaster where all they do is fight and make up, equally passionately. “Nothing was easy about our relationship. Well, nothing but falling hard for each other. Everything else was like trying to swim against a current. You never quite felt you were making much headway, but the journey made up for the lack of real estate.” Jude is still battling his demons, struggling to keep his anger at bay and be worthy of the woman he adores. He cherishes Lucy with all his being and considers her to be his whole world. Lucy, however, hates the flammable dynamic between them. She questions whether the love they share is worth the heartache they keep giving each other. She fears that something will eventually pull them apart and lives in constant anticipation of that ‘doom’. “It feels like sometimes I’m just waiting for the bottom to fall out beneath us.” But Jude keeps fighting for her tooth and claw, relentlessly reassuring her of what she means to him and giving her hope that even if ‘doom’ comes along, they would get through it together. “I know. When it does though, we’ll just grab onto a rope and wait it out.” Their biggest obstacle in this book is their young age and inability to see the big picture. While Jude is light years ahead of Lucy in terms of knowing what truly matters in life, he is still allowing his anger to rule his reactions and cannot see past his mistrust of people, occasionally even of the woman he loves. He is possessive of her and jealous of every guy that looks her way, hiding at the core of his anger a deep fear of losing her. Lucy, on the other hand, is stuck in some utopian notion of what perfect relationships should be like and she keeps convincing herself more and more that they would be better off apart. All it takes is the first big test of implicit trust between them and they fail miserably. What follows is a heart-wrenching, soul-shaking, pulse-igniting, fasten-your-seatbelts-and-don’t-look-down kind of roller coaster ride of two people who perhaps love each other too obsessively. Their ups and downs shook me deeply. I was a complete mess at times, screaming ‘nooooooooo’ in my head, wanting to head-butt Lucy for hurting a man who was willing to give everything up for her. But she was hurting herself as much as she was hurting Jude, her insecurities digging a hole in her heart deeper and deeper. “I loved him, but I shouldn’t. I trusted him, but it wasn’t natural. I wanted him, but I couldn’t have him.” The happy ending is inevitable so we are rewarded in the end for all the pain and suffering caused by the events in the book, but it is a bittersweet happiness in my opinion as the sceptic in me fails to believe that the type of doubts and reservations that were weighing Lucy down could be solved so easily and so effortlessly. I would have preferred them to work at it a bit more rather than just be ‘served’ the solution to their problems on a silver platter. I felt it somewhat trivialised their struggles and the heartbreak they put themselves through but I reminded myself, again, that this is a YA story, one that is meant to inspire young minds to believe in love conquering all. “Love isn’t easy. Especially the really good kind. It’s difficult, and you’ll want to rip your hair out just as many days as you’ll feel the wind at your back. But it’s worth it. It’s worth fighting for. Don’t let what isn’t real blind you from what is. Life isn’t perfect, we sure as sh*t aren’t perfect, so why should we expect love to be?” Beautifully said? Definitely. A tad simplistic? Hmmm. Maybe I’m a cynical b*tch who believes that two eighteen-year-olds can solve world hunger more than she believes that they could decipher the complex formula that is life and love, but I will stand proudly here and admit that I really enjoyed this book, regardless of all the drama. It is a skilfully written story that grabs you from the beginning and doesn’t let go until the end. It could have been a bit longer, it would have given more credibility to the resolution of the storyline, but it was extremely enjoyable nonetheless. [4.5 STARS] ~ N ♥ See this review on my blog!

    Willow ~ The Romance Cover

Well Jude is definitely as hot as ever and I do love Luce, but she really annoyed me at one point and I wanted to yell at her what was she thinking. I think this book had more ups and downs than the first . I could see the initial angst coming, but wasn't prepared for all the ups and downs to follow, every time I thought things would work out and I felt relieved, I turn the page and my relief was short lived! An enjoyable Sunday morning read.

On par with book 1. Lucy is still one aggravating heroine. I like the idea of the story, but some of the execution is exasperating. I'll read book 3 because...why not? I've completed Books 1 & 2. 3.5 Stars! I have to say....I was a little disappointed in this book. And Jude definitely saved it for me. I thought there were too many lows and not enough highs. Jude and Lucy were fighting more then they were happy....and nothing is better then when Jude and Lucy are "on". What happened to Lucy in this book?? She was SO insecure and gave up on Jude so easily. I really hope that this is not the last book in the series...while it did end happy I need more happy. And more Jude--YUM! :)

I really liked this book it was very well written, it had everything I love; swoon worthy moments, emotional heart break, JUDE, angst and lots of romance…oh and it had JUDE!!!! It was a really quick read and through most of it I was either pretty peeved off or my heart was breaking! This story, to me, was basically all about trust and the question if love can possibly survive when trust is being chipped at continuously or when jealousy rears its ugly head?! This story, to me, was basically all about trust and the question if love can possibly survive when trust is being chipped at continuously or when jealousy rears its ugly head?! Clash begins where Crash ended and sees Jude and Lucy attending college. Jude, being the star on his football team, is assigned a “Spirit Sister”; enter super bitch Adriane, who is adamant she is meant for Jude and will do anything to steal him away from Lucy. I disliked Adriane intensely, what a cow, I completely understood Lucy’s initial issues with her and why she was left insecure and vulnerable! So yes I got Lucy…to a point! She quickly started to grate on me with her behaviour and her treatment of Jude. It got cruel, it really did, yes I know I am biased because I love Jude, but really that boy did not deserve the extent of her treatment of him! My sympathy started to run out and I have to say Jude deserved a medal for still being there waiting. Did she redeem herself? Yes but barely! “I’ll be here when you’re ready. No matter how long it takes. I’ll always be here, Luce. I’m yours,” he breathed, squeezing my hands, “forever.” – Jude Jude (sigh) still has this fiery temper which he is battling to tamper down so that he can prove he is worthy of Lucy’s love. Lucy is his world (lucky girl)! I have to say Jude is one of my fave’s still, despite the fact that he let Lucy walk all over him at times Lucy worries that their relationship is all about extremes, it’s either really good or it is really bad. The emotional heartache she believes they can inflict on each other persistently weighs on her mind so she comes to the conclusion that perhaps they would both be saner and happier apart. At least that way, when it all blows one day, which she is sure it will, it won’t hurt as much as it would early on in their relationship. Yes, I can see that, but to me that is avoidance tactics, no way would you let a man like Jude go because he has passion and intensity! Right?! Did I like this book after all that? No…I loved it because it got my emotions running high, I felt the heart break and love and despite the issues I had I felt the story!! Oh and it had JUDE!!!!

Jude still has issues with his temper, that sometimes gets him in trouble, but other than that, Lucy and Jude are in love and happy. Then trouble walks in in form of Adriana Vix. She wants Jude, bad. And stops at nothing to get him in her bed. Luce feels insecure and threaten by her. She gets more insecure. Have doubts. And gets more insecure. To tell you the truth, it was a bit exhausting to read about all her reasons why she and Jude should or shouldn´t be together. And poor Jude, he did nothing except for loving her, more then she deserves. My heart broke for him everytime Luce got in bitch mood, and decided to push him away. I am all for drama, but this was a bit much, even for me. Luce does not deserve someone like Jude that loves her as much as he does. She can´t make up her mind, and he deserves someone who will stay and not run. And I wanna se them be happy and content for a change. I wanna see Jude get what he deserves!

Jude is the same Jude we saw in Crash. Not that is a bad thing. He is understanding and lets her go even though that breaks his heart and is more mature. The story is more complicated and has more agony. After high school Lucy goes to Julliard and Jude plays football.Of course he kicks asses and seems to have a bright future as a player.Adriana his Spirit Sister is a total bitch and tries to steal him.No matter what he says to Lucy she believes he is going to sleep with her and has her insecurities. What happens when Adriana has a plan to break them up that actually might work? Will Lucy believe him or will she give them up without a fight? Clash is one of the few books I cheered and did my happy dance when the couple had sex for the first time.It wasn't like I expected it to be but the way it happened was better.I loved the scene before the epilogue after she makes up her mind. Now I can safely say that the microphone confessions of love and the acceptance of their mistakes they make is a Jude and Lucy thing. In less than 12 hours I fell in love with the Crash duet (and soon trilogy).

I must say that I was hoping this book would meet my expectations after reading the first book in the series, but for me it fell short. I think there was too much "roller coaster riding" in Jude's and Lucy's relationship that I began feeling it was ridiculous; however, I still wanted them to get together. I thought parts of the plot were ridiculous, such as (view spoiler)[having their first sexual encounter in the hospital bed right after he wakes up from an induced coma. (hide spoiler)] Really? I give this 4.5 stars. I know some people thought Lucy wasn't written very well in this book. Once I read it all the way through I was agreeing and disagreeing with that. Jude in this book stepped up to the plate in every sense of the meaning. School, football, temper, and trying the only way he knew how to prove his love for Lucy. Lucy was so confused by the amount of love she felt for Jude that she didn't know if it was right or wrong love. Because of the "roller coaster" she doubted them. I t I give this 4.5 stars. LOVED IT almost as much as Crash. Lucy did not piss me off until the airport scene. And oh dear God, I so wish boys at 18 were really like Jude...Sweet Jesus...I kept seeing Channing Tatum and don't know why-especially at the airport. SIGHHHHH. Glad Nicole ended the story for us, Please note,, I could keep reading about them.
